Depression Counseling

Depression can cause a multitude of physical and emotional symptoms. It can disruptions in functioning at work, home, school, and in relationships. Many people experience bouts of sadness that they refer to as depression, however, depression is more specific than just feeling sad. 


Below are some questions to ask yourself, if you find that you are answering yes to any or all of these- please give us a call. We can help.


  • Do you feel sad, empty or hopeless most of the day for most days out of the week? 
  • Do you find that you are not interested in all, or almost all activities for most of the day, most days of the week? 
  • Have you recently gained or lost a significant amount of weight in a month? Has your appetite change significantly?
  • Have you noticed you are tired more often or low energy? Had difficulty concentrating?
  • Are you having feelings or worthlessness, guilt, shame, or thoughts of suicide?


Through counseling, you can find the guidance to understand your depression and find hope to start feeling better. Your counselor can help you uncover the experiences that have led you to feeling depressed and develop a plan to unburden you from the weight of those symptoms. Depression is not who you are, it is a side effect of what has happened to you. You can start living the life you deserve.
